Les Baxter- Exotica Absolute Four Classic Albums From The Godfather Of Exotica Les Baxter (CD)

Four complete albums from the Godfather of exotica. The inspiration for Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman and a million tiki bar enthusiasts. Classic exotica, easy listening and bachelor pad music from the man who brought you four-octave Peruvian songstress Yma Sumac, and Nat King Cole’s best-selling recording ‘Nature Boy’. Including escapist gems ‘Ritual Of the Savage’, ‘The Passions with Bas Sheva, ‘Tamboo!’ and ‘Caribbean Moonlight. Sixth in the series of remastered exotica albums. The Godfather of exotica, a gifted songwriter and arranger; and a man with an eye for a novelty trend, from space travel and the music of the moon to the indigenous music of faraway places or how people imagined they might be; If the listener couldn’t travel there, his lush arrangements and expressive use of sound soon transported them to these new fantasy lands.
